Creative Industries Study Grants

SAE is supporting the evolving creative industries by investing in its future leaders, offering new students $3,000 cash grants.

Grants will be awarded to outstanding applications from students who apply to study for a Bachelor's Degree at SAE Brisbane, SAE Perth and SAE Sydney, commencing in February 2021.

Eligibility

  • Applicants are to be domestic or onshore international students wishing to commence study in a Bachelor Program for the February 2021 intake with a Full-time study load. NOTE: International students must already be residing in Australia with a valid VISA.
  • Applicants must remain enrolled post-T1 census date
  • Applicants have completed the application form and supplied their portfolio link
  • Applicants must meet SAE's published entry requirements

Design Study Grants

SAE is supporting the bustling Melbourne design industry by investing in emerging designers and the future of the creative industries.

SAE is offering new enrolling Design students $3,000 cash grants. Grants will be awarded to outstanding applications from students who apply to study a Bachelor of Design at SAE Melbourne for the February 2021 intake.

The Australian Government and SAE Creative Media Institute are now offering the Destination Australia Scholarships to Domestic & International Students who undertake study at the SAE Byron Bay, NSW.

Scholarship details

A cash amount of up to $15,000 (AUD$), available for Domestic students for each year of full-time study at SAE Byron Bay.

Who can apply?

Our scholarship programs at SAE are about investing in future professionals and rewarding creative and academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants are to be domestic or onshore international students wishing to commence study in a Bachelor Program in February 2021. NOTE: International students must already be residing in Australia with a valid VISA. 
  • Applicants must be a commencing student enrolled full time at the SAE Byron Bay (on-campus study)
  • Applicants can demonstrate academic and/or professional achievement, strong leadership or industry excellence, and a creative passion OR can demonstrate financial hardship or other barriers to studying at SAE Institute and a creative passion.
  • Applicants must meet SAE's published entry requirements

Your application

You will need to provide a 250-word statement explaining 'Why I should receive an SAE Scholarship?' and provide a portfolio of work.

Terms & Conditions

The following conditions apply:

  • The recipient must maintain and demonstrate residency in the regional area at the time of commencing study and for the duration of the scholarship; 
  • A Destination Australia Scholarship at SAE Byron Bay is not transferrable to other SAE campuses;
  • Recipients must be a newly enrolled student to SAE Australia - current SAE students are not eligible for the scholarship. 
  • Recipients must enrol in a full-time course for the duration of the qualification at SAE Byron Bay campus;
  • Scholarships are only available for Higher Education courses - VET Diploma and Certificate III in Music Industry are not eligible;

Scholarship Application Process

Applying is simple. Complete the application form which includes a 500-word statement and a link to your online work portfolio.
Successful applicants will be required to provide supporting material for their application including; references, identification and school results as required.

  1. Review your use of professional language: Apply for a scholarship as if you’re applying for a job, avoiding the use of abbreviations and slang, ensuring your application is concise.
  2. Review SAE: Prepare your statements understanding the background of SAE and what SAE can provide you with for your studies. Outline our ambitions and what you are interested in so we know you are a perfect fit for an SAE scholarship.
  3. Review grammar and files: Ensure you have checked your application for spelling and grammar and that all your supporting documentation and portfolio is attached and accessible for the panel to review.

SAE Australia offers a range of domestic scholarships to assist students during their studies including full-tuition scholarships, grants and bursaries.
