Bio
Dean Pearson has been involved in the music, creative media and education industries for over 25 years.
He joined SAE Qantm as a Lecturer in 1993 and has been Manager of the Perth campus since 1995. SAE Perth has grown from a single audio department delivering diploma and certificate courses into a Higher Education Provider delivering a range of creative media degrees.
During the past 20 years there has been a rapid growth of the local creative industry in WA and to keep pace with this dynamic industry and ensure SAE maintains its reputation as a high quality, cutting edge teaching and learning facility, the campus has had to relocate three times, each time expanding its facilities. The most recent and most exciting relocation occurred in 2015 when they moved to a brand new architect-designed campus in Northbridge.
The campus is now a diverse learning and creative media facility unequalled in West Australia with a body of over 350 students. Dean’s role as manager is to provide strategic and operational direction and leadership to the Perth SAE team with an ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of learning support and service ensuring our students receive an outstanding student experience.
Dean has driven a number of successful government quality assurance audits and registrations for the campus over this 20 year period, including VET and HE, AUQA and TEQSA and overseas student accreditations. Since 2009, SAE Perth has been accredited as a Higher Education provider offering degrees in the audio, animation, film, games, and graphic design disciplines.
