SAE opens doors to exclusive masterclass with world-class sound engineer




With an impressive audio career spanning 35 years, live sound engineer Blake Suib has worked with some of the world's greatest artists, sound technicians and touring teams.

Blake will bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to SAE Creative Media Institute in Sydney at a free public masterclass event in May.

From a chance encounter in New York City with The Police that kick started his career, to learning on the job with Iggy Pop, Blake has worked with almost every genre of music from pop, rock, jazz and everything in between. He is renowned a trailblazer of the live music industry.

“When I teach someone something they can practically use in the field, I know I have helped them reach their goals,” Blake said.

“I’ve had 30 years of experience working for some of the most demanding artists in the industry, but I still have the passion that comes with reproducing music the way the artist wants it to be heard.”

The Masterclass will incorporate a Q&A focused on Blake’s insights and industry experiences. It is open to anyone interested in audio – from students to professionals.
