SAE EXCELS IN AUSTRALIAN TERTIARY EDUCATION SURVEY

16 Apr 2020

SAE Creative Media Institute has once again outshone Australia’s top-ranked universities in this year’s Government-funded student experience survey.

The National Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) Survey* consists of the Student Experience Survey (SES), The Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) and Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS).

The latest QILT results position SAE as number one against Australia’s top five ranked Universities** in the following categories;

• Teaching Practices

• Skills Development

• Student Support

• Interactions with Staff and Students

POSITIVE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS ABOVE THE NATIONAL AVERAGE, WITH STUDENTS GIVING SAE A 79.4% SATISFACTION RATING

 QILT APRIL

 Survey results ranked SAE well above national averages in the following areas:

• Satisfaction with teaching practices - 76.1% compared to the national average of 63.3%
• Positive interactions with staff and students - 78.8% compared to the national average of 63.4%

• Rated support services positively - 84.4% compared to the national average of 73.7%

 General Manager of SAE Australasia, Matt Evans, says the results demonstrate SAE’s commitment to delivering unique, engaging experiences that prepare students for real-world challenges and opportunities.

“We employ experienced teachers with industry expertise to deliver relevant curriculum; working closely with creative industries to understand what employers and creatives need for success. Importantly, we have put a lot of energy and resources into developing student support services that meet the unique needs of our creatives - whether it’s counselling, support with tailored study programs or other forms of flexible learning.”

“I am incredibly proud of the efforts of our faculty and support staff who always put the needs of our students front and centre - their hard work, professionalism and commitment are demonstrated in these results.”

“In a time of great disruption from the COVID-19 pandemic, studying with SAE is a fabulous opportunity to level up your technical skills, realise your creative dream and learn from experts who can help set you up with the transferable skills you need to thrive in the industry.”

QILT is independently commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment. Outcomes are based on thousands of surveys completed by students across the nation. The results are up to date, with the survey being undertaken every year. SAE participates voluntarily in the survey.
