What do you enjoy most about film?
Film is an incredible avenue to express, create and inspire those around you. I love the entire process – from it's original inspiration, through to developing the idea and writing the script. All this leads to creating an emotional reaction in the audience that in some way influences their lives.

What do you love most about studying at SAE Brisbane?
The unconditional support and encouragement I receive from the lecturers and staff. It makes the harder days so much easier knowing my teachers have my back and believe in me and my work.

What is your favourite software you use?
Premiere Pro CC

What is your favourite hardware you use?

What projects have you worked on, and which one are you most proud of?
I have written, directed and produced a number of short films that I'm really proud of, these include; Shadow Hill, InSync and Enough.  I have also created a portfolio of documentaries, TVCs and corporate videos.

Working with Taylor Payne on her video provided me with a fun opportunity to work with a young, talented artist. Taylor is very professional and dedicated to her craft, she has a drive that I have yet to witness elsewhere. I'm really proud of her and the success the video has received as far. I'm also proud of the work we achieved in creating this music video.

How did you become involved with Taylor Payne?
I completed a film called Enough a couple of years ago. While searching for music, a friend introduced me to Taylor's work. I fell in love with her voice, lyrics and music. We both met and respected each other’s work. When the film was accepted into the Gold Coast Film Festival Taylor and I continued to build a friendship.

Mid last year, I was presented with the opportunity to film the video to Apparition as a project in a client-based subject. We came up with the concept and everything else just fell into place.

Who do you follow on social media?
I mainly follow music artists and indie directors. I love Xavier Dolans work; he's a French/Canadian film writer and director. Xavier directed Adele's music video for her hit single, Hello. I also admire Fatima Robinson and Matthew Cullen and find great inspiration in their work.

What are your goals after finishing studies at SAE Institute?

In November 2016, I started my own production company, Alegna Entertainment. My goal prior to completing my degree at SAE is to build my brand and continue to produce high quality content. I hope my client-work and projects at SAE will provide a solid foundation to obtaining high profile clients.
