GOOCH PALMS ON TOUR NOW
Newcastle garage/pop two-piece Gooch Palms are currently on tour for their new single 'Marfa Lights'. They'll be speaking to The Music Weekly this Friday at 5pm ahead of their Melbourne show this weekend, supported by Raave Tapes. Sydney-siders can catch Gooch Palms at The Lansdowne on Saturday November 3.

SHAUN KIRK RELEASES NEW SINGLE
Shaun completed a massive tour earlier this year, including playing at Bluesfest, and is heading off around the country again with new single 'Save My Soul' produced by Nick Huggins (Jen Cloher, Fraser A Gorman, Mick Turner).

BIG SKY MOUNTAIN - LIVE TO AIR
A 7 piece all female band from Sydney, coining their heartfelt brand of Americana Country Pop. With a sound that is reminiscent of Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow and a hint of Ricky Lee Jones, Big Sky Mountain are tearing up the well-worn stages of iconic Sydney venues. Armed with several layers of heavenly vocal harmonies, Big Sky Mountain combine melody driven guitars with a flourish of trumpet, giving their songs a gritty yet vulnerable touch, enticing audiences with their ballsy yet bashful live shows.
Big Sky Mountain will be performing a live set in all of their glory for Energy Groove's flagship music show The Music Weekly on Friday November 30 at 5pm. The set will be mixed live by SAE Sydney Audio students, all broadcast from the SAE Sydney campus in Chippendale.

Studios 301 is Australia’s busiest recording, mixing and mastering studio complex, helping the Australian and international music communities to shape the future sound of music. 301 is one of the last studios of its kind in the world, large enough to be a breeding ground for the next generation of successful engineers, producers and technicians, whilst regularly working with acts such as Muse, Kanye West, Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, Matt Corby, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Powderfinger, Bluejuiceand Xavier Rudd.

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 21
In 2016 acclaimed Perth singer-songwriter Bri Clark was diagnosed with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that forced her to take 18 months off to heal and to write. Emerging on the other side of the recovery process, 2017 saw her put the finishing touches on a new 5-track EP.
The EP is due out late 2018 and has been produced by Jono Steer (Ainslie Wills, Ben Abraham). It will feature her new single 'Giving Up' - which she will be performing for us live on HITS FROM DOWN UNDER, Wednesday November 21 @ 4pm.

Melbourne-based Americana/alt-country act Georgia State Line are touring the east-coast in light of their new single 'Dry My Tears'.
Honest, agile, and refreshingly self-assured, Georgia State Line’s unique brand of country-infused melancholy yields music that’s equal parts heartsick and hopeful.

PERFORMANCE BY SKINNY & AWKWARD
Newcastle singer-songwriter Skinny & Awkward made the trip down to Sydney to perform for our Australian music show HITS FROM DOWN UNDER recently. He performed an intimate and heartfelt set of tracks he has written this year.

BEN PANUCCI LAUNCHES NEW SOLO ALBUM
Celebrating taking centre stage as a solo artist, Sydney guitarist and producer Ben Panucci released his debut solo album 'Age of Consequence' on Friday October 10. Written and produced by Ben himself, the album features previously released tracks ‘Come Over’ and the lush and quirky ‘Quite’ and now the album’s title track ‘Age of Consequence’.
As a songwriter and bandleader, Ben's previous musical offerings include the critically acclaimed Jazz album 'Short Stories' as Ben Panucci Trio and, the debut self titled album of neo-soul outfit New Venusians. As a session musician and collaborator Ben has also worked with the likes of Ngaiire, Tuka, Paul Mac, and PON CHO amongst others.
Ben Panucci dropped into Energy Groove on the album's release day to discuss its writing and how it feels to finally release the album after three years in the making.

THE ATTICS RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'PASTEL BLUES'
Melbourne raconteurs The Attics reveal new indie jangle ‘Pastel Blues’.
‘Pastel Blues’ is much more opaque than its title suggests, beaming with bold hooks and playful arrangements that are captivating and instantly recognisable as their own. As with the dynamic ‘Ultramarine’, ‘Pastel Blues’ was once again recorded and mastered by Isaac Barter and co-produced with lead vocalist Cameron Wade, with mixing by acclaimed engineer Steven Schram.
