Design students create 'Dreamer' zine

14 Dec 2016

As we approach the end of year, many students are working towards final project works. The SAE Sydney Design team recently released the Dreamers Zine, a collection of design work by students. The magazine promotes the creative works across a range of mediums from print and magazine, to typesetting and production.

We chat with the editor, SAE Graphic Design student Bridget Behan, about her role producing the Dreamers Zine.

What do you enjoy most about Design?
I enjoy the whole process I go through in creating something so likable.

What do you love most about studying at SAE Sydney?
The teachers are really engaging and are hugely supportive. I couldn’t have asked for better guidance.

What is your favourite software to use?
Oh that's a toughy, my top choice would be Adobe Illustrator.

What projects have you worked on, and which one are you most proud of?  What did you produce in this project?
I’m proud of my work on the SAE Dreamers Zine as the Editor and an Attributer.

Another project was part of a small exercise we did in a Typography class in Trimester 2, we worked on a concept app for a local gym called “Buff Bunnies”. Using Photoshop to design and Marvel to make the project interactive, I created a basic idea of how the app would look. Check it out here:

I would love to work on more projects like this in the future!

What are your goals after finishing studies at SAE Institute?

To work as a full-time Graphic Designer dabbling in web design. I also have an interest in UX Design, with a love for art on the side.  So hopefully an artist too!
