Audio lecturer Adrian Carroll has a lot of strings to his bow, from teaching, to producing, to research and yoga! We caught up with him in between his very busy schedule (he also has six kids!)

Professional Bio:
Adrian Carroll works in the Media Training Sector, in Brisbane, as a Specialist Instructor in the field of Contemporary Music Production and Innovation. He has an extensive Discography and experience in Broadcast, Record Production (both Contemporary and Classic Music including Joell Ortiz, Kxng Crooked and Royce da 5'9", the Australian Operatic Soprano Lisa Gasteen and Pianist David Helfgot), with International Voice-Over and Post-Production (Artistes include: Tom Baker, Penelope Keith, Nigel Planer, Whoopi Goldberg, Richard O’Brien). As a Researcher, Adrian is interested in the connection between Performance and Technology. His Master of Arts (Research) Degree at Queensland University of Technology (2013) focused on Beatmixing Original Rock Compositions as an Alternative Album Format.
THE FUN STUFF
Why do you love working at SAE?
I like the way the courses and the direction has changed since I have been here. I can see how and where SAE is moving in the future and I like it.
What is the best fun fact about yourself?
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
How do you like to spend your time outside of SAE?
I like doing Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series in the Morning and sometimes I will attend The Sanctuary at Stones Corner and gain instruction from the Master. I enjoy Meditation and have practised Vipassana Meditation. I like spending time with my family of six children.
What is your life motto?
"Do It Now"
What is your dream holiday destination?
India

Are you working on any exciting projects at the moment?
I am making an Album for Vinyl Release with the Manarays. I Write the Songs and Front the Band that include Phil Dunlea from Black Diamond and Micky Scott from the Splatterheads. I am also cowriting material in a Partnership that commenced in 1987 with Chris Fletcher from the Splatterheads.
