Our lecturers are available during regular business hours for one on one consultations, or you can choose to interact and collaborate with other students via our inbuilt forums and messaging systems if you are doing your course work outside of these hours.

Bachelor of VFX and Virtual Production
SAE’s Bachelor of VFX and Virtual Production has been specially designed to nurture your creative talents and enhance your technical skills, combining the best of both worlds to help you unlock your full potential.
Covering the fundamentals of VFX and virtual production through to advanced strategies and techniques, you’ll build a diverse skillset in VFX, compositing, real-time engines, procedural graphics, 3D modelling, virtual environments, animation, texturing and shading. You’ll master cutting-edge, industry-standard equipment such as virtual production studios, motion capture suits, high-end digital film cameras and green screens.
In addition to your core units, you’ll choose from a pool of electives to develop a specialisation in one of three areas: Virtual Production, VFX, and Technical Art.
As you develop your expertise and work on more dynamic projects, you’ll collaborate with fellow SAE students and apply your skills to multidisciplinary projects in Computer Science, Film, Games and Animation.
In the final trimester placement, you will get the opportunity to put new skills into action by experiencing working life in an industry of your choice. This ensures you graduate feeling confident and career ready.

Associate Degree of VFX and Virtual Production
Comprising two of the three stages included in our bachelor’s program, our Associate Degree of VFX and Virtual Production explores core concepts, techniques and technologies including real-time engines, cinematography, compositing, world building, and 2D and 3D asset production.
Choose to specialise in Virtual Production, VFX or Technical Art, and explore dedicated elective units to position yourself as an expert in your field.
