Bio

Since graduating from SAE, Tabata Piccinelli has worked on TV shows like ‘Hamish and Andy’s Euro Gap Year’ and set up her own post-production house ‘Tauronox’.

What inspired you to enter into the career you’re in?
It came naturally as I’ve always been interested in filmmaking. Since I was little I wanted to know how movies and televisions shows were made.

What are your fondest memories of your time at SAE?
I was lucky enough to choose to study at SAE Byron Bay, so I have thousands of good memories, including the beaches, amazing friendships, filming Grace Jones at BluesFest and producing my final creative project.

Are you able to shed some light on how studying at SAE lead you to where you are now?
The foundation of my workflow started there, I did not just learn the basics of production and post- production, I also learned how to improve my work, how to work with others and take responsibility of what you do. These lessons will stay with me forever.

What advice would you give to students aspiring to become successful in their field?
Don’t be scared to ask questions and be confident when you present yourself. If you think you are doing 100%, then do 200%, the competition is very high and you need to do more than everyone else to get the job. Last but not least, be modest, trustable, and learn from your mistakes.
