SAE has six locations around Australia with campuses in most capital cities – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, as well as the famous coastal town of Byron Bay. 

Under the expert guidance of industry-leading facilitators you will participate in real-world Australian projects as part of your course, this includes 80-hours of organised work placement.

Brisbane is Queensland’s capital and is situated on Australia’s east coast, located between the incredible Gold and Sunshine Coasts.  Within an hours drive you can be on the theme parks and beaches of the Gold Coast or in the stunning Sunshine Coast towns of Noosa or Mooloolaba.

Our Brisbane campus is perfectly located in the creative hub of Brisbane, West End. You will be within walking distance of popular tourist destinations including the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and an array of shops and restaurants that entails South Bank’s Cultural Precinct.

With easy access to a range of public transport options, you will find Brisbane to be the perfect place to study and experience what Australia has to offer.

Accommodation options

Students who are moving to Brisbane often stay in a hotel, hostel/guesthouse, or nearby student accommodation when they first arrive. Many students then move into shared rental accommodation when they are more familiar with the city and surrounding areas.

SAE Byron Bay

Byron Bay is Australia’s most eastern destination and famed for its pristine white beaches, creative local community, surf loving culture and natural beauty and wildlife, with national parks, hiking and an array of aquatic activities available on your doorstep.

Located only 40 minutes from the Gold Coast and 2 hours from Brisbane, Byron Bay is easily accessible with airport transfers available from Gold Coast International or Ballina Airports.

Our campus is located centrally off the main road into Byron Bay and only 5 minutes from the town centre. The campus has a restaurant, on campus accommodation, community green spaces and back onto pristine bushland, the campus is only a pleasant 10 min walk from the beach.

Accommodation

SAE Byron Bay is the only SAE campus in Australia to offer purpose built on-campus accommodation. Nestled amongst landscaped rainforest gardens, the accommodation is located adjacent to the main teaching and learning hub.

The accommodation facilities include

The city of Sydney famously hosts some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Sydney is home to a vibrant creative arts culture, with regular theatre performances and comedic events hosted throughout the year.

It’s also home to vast national parks, central botanic gardens, Taronga Zoo and world famous beaches including Bondi and Manly.

The campus itself is purpose built for creative media education and is located centrally in Chippendale, within easy walking distance from central station, Broadway Shopping Centre and the city circle loop. Here you will have access to world class restaurants from every corner of the world, local pubs, bars and clubs and be able to explore Sydney’s famous darling harbour.
