SAE’s Early Entry Program lets you lock in your future studies and enjoy what’s left of high school knowing you’ve got next year sorted, all before your final exams.
By securing an Early Entry spot, you’re starting Year 12 with less pressure and less stress, giving you the space and energy to focus on what really matters – your passion projects and creative portfolio.

HOW TO APPLY
The Early Entry application process is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

STEP TWO
Our Course Advisor team will give you a call to chat about entry criteria, what life is like at SAE and whether studying here is the right fit for you.
STEP THREE
Receive your offer – boom! You’re in.
If you’re looking to study at SAE Melbourne in February 2026, make sure you also lodge your study application through VTAC.
WHY APPLY FOR EARLY ENTRY?
- Secure your place at SAE before you graduate, freeing up your brainpower for fun stuff like creative projects.
- No ATAR? No problem! All SAE courses offer an ATAR-free point of entry, meaning you can enjoy what’s left of Year 12 without worrying about your final exam score.
- Keep the change – there are no fees associated with applying for Early Entry.
- Early Entry offers are obligation free, so there’s no pressure to accept (we won’t take it personally!).
ENTRY CRITERIA
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident AND
- be in Year 12 with passing marks in all your subjects AND
- send us your Year 12 certificate or Cert 4 as soon as you receive it, OR
- be 18 years of age (or turning 18 in your first year of study with SAE).
OTHER APPLICANTS
If you're not a Year 12 student or are looking to apply for a May or September intake, you can apply directly with SAE.
