Are you an emerging filmmaker looking to break into the short film industry? Don't miss this exclusive masterclass at SAE Byron Bay on 22 June.

The Masterclass content is brought to you and presented by Flickerfest's very own Bronwyn Kidd, Flickerfest Short Film Festival Director. Bronwyn will be joined by special guest filmmakers, who have forged successful careers within the film industry and will share their tips & advice to being successful in the Film Industry.

What you will learn:

Learn about the festival circuit How they work, what they are looking for and why you should get involved
Learn about the power of the short film Why short films are in such demand
Learn from the professionals Listen to and meet the industry professionals as they share their insights
SAE Melbourne Audio and Film students


Join us at the Ewingsdale Road campus, as we host prominent industry experts that will share their knowledge and give advice on how to get your big break into the world of short films.

Bronwyn Kidd, Flickerfest Short Film Festival Director Bronwyn will share her expertise and some of her favourite classic Flickerfest shorts with aspiring and established filmmakers alike. Bronwyn will cover a range of topics including

* What makes a short film irresistible to Oscar-qualifying film festivals?
* Should you target the Australian or International film circuit?
* What are big Australian festivals looking for?
* Targeting the smaller festivals – why would you do it?
* How to get your film out beyond festivals and make money through distribution of your short
* What you need to know to make your film market-ready
