Bio

Gareth Parton is an experienced music producer, recording engineer and mixer.

An exiled Brit now based in Melbourne, his discography spans 20 years and boasts work with The Breeders, Foals, The Go! Team and fellow Welshman, Tom Jones! He co-owns a recording studio (Los Bomberos) and continues to produce Australian artists (including Big Scary, Lowtide and Babganouj) He completed his Masters of Music Technology at Newcastle University in 2014.

Gareth has worked at SAE Institute, Melbourne since 2010 and has been their Audio Department Coordinator for 5 years. As part of the Audio Program Committee, he advises on course direction and develops new modules. He currently teaches the CMI module “Immersive Audio” and is passionate about emerging and innovative technologies.
