There is more than one way to become an international student at SAE, with English pathways as well as partnerships with vocation partners available.

SAE have agreements with certain English providers to package enrolment for international students who need to complete an English pathway course prior to entry to SAE.

When a student has a packaged enrolment for English courses together with their SAE course, they are only required to apply for the one type of visa, which will cover all courses in the package.

SAE recognise that students who successfully complete an English course (in line with IELTS entry requirements) from one of the providers below will be deemed competent in English and satisfy the English requirement for entry into SAE courses.

SAE Jakarta graduates who have successfully completed the first two semesters of an eligible diploma in Jakarta, will be granted credit toward a corresponding bachelor qualification in Australia. You can complete the bachelor in five trimesters (18 months) or six trimesters (24 months). Eligible diploma courses are listed below:

SAE Jakarta Diploma of Audio Engineering: SAE Australia Bachelor of Audio

SAE Jakarta Diploma of 3D Animation and Digital Effects: SAE Australia Bachelor of Animation

SAE Jakarta Diploma of Film Production: SAE Australia Bachelor of Film

Students who successfully completed any bachelor degree units at SAE Dubai campus are eligible for direct credit transfer into the same degree at SAE Australia.

Students who have completed an approved TAFE Queensland diploma, are guaranteed 80 credit points toward the relevant SAE degree (as below). International students on this pathway can complete their degree in 4 or 5 trimesters:

CUA51015 Diploma of Screen & Media (Film and Television) : Bachelor of Film (Production or Post-Production)

CUA51015 Diploma of Screen & Media (Animation) : Bachelor of Animation

CUA50815 Diploma of Music Industry (Studio Production) : Bachelor of Audio

CUA50715 Diploma of Graphic Design : Bachelor of Design and Visual Communication

ICT50215 Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games : Bachelor of Game Development (Game programming or Game Design)

AAT College students who have successfully completed the AAT Diploma of Sound Engineering, are granted direct entry into the third trimester of the Bachelor of Audio.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

SAE recognises certain qualifications as eligible for credit toward an SAE qualification.

You are encouraged to submit credit recognition information as part of the enrolment process so that course progression can be mapped accordingly.
