STUDYING AT SAE
What do you most enjoy about student life at SAE?
I really enjoy being on campus and meeting people from other disciplines. My mum would always say to me that everyone you meet is a teacher because they know something you don’t and that is an experience, I have that on campus whether it be with the campus staff, lecturers or students.
What are your plans for when you graduate?
I’m looking forward to being more active as Executive Producer of Zedgames which is a live radio broadcast show at 4ZZZ studios each week. I took over the live broadcast at the beginning of my last trimester and I am looking forward to finishing my studies with SAE so I can take what I have learned about game design straight into the industry.
GETTING INVOLVED
Could you please tell us a little about your involvement with SAE campus life?
I am a Student Representative on the Student Council and I am also an active participant in local SAE events such as; Open Day, Info Night, and Synergy student showcase.
I love being a part of the creative industries and learning from lots of different lecturers, so volunteering at these events better helps my practice. It allows me to network outside my discipline and furthers my connections with people both working and studying on campus.
Do you have any helpful tips to share with fellow students?
When starting a new adventure it is always best to have an open mind to new possibilities, be willing to understand that what you put in is what you get out and that there is no such thing as a wrong answer we all learn and grow together.
That doesn’t just apply to education it includes everything you do as a creative practitioner. There is always someone feeling the same as you no matter where you are, be brave, be bold, there is no better time.
Who are 3 people you would invite to dinner, dead or alive?
Leonardo Da Vinci, Stephen Fry, Farley Mowat (Canadian Author)
