Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents
This information is for applicants who are Australian and New Zealand citizens or those who have a current permanent residency visa, and want to study a Certificate or Diploma; or an Associate, Bachelor or Masters degree.

It’s simple to apply
Applying to study at SAE is an easy two-step process. At any time, if you run into any issues or have any questions, call us on 1800 723 338 or fill out our online enquiry form and we will help you.
Before you apply, remember to check the entry requirements for studying with us (this might be Year 10, or Year 12, a TAFE award, a prior degree, or life/work experience). If you don’t meet the entry requirements, call us on 1800 723 338 for a chat or reach out online.
If you meet the entry requirements, you can apply straight away.

- Apply. Just click any Apply Now link on the SAE website and fill out and submit the online form. We will get in touch to say hello and assist you to ensure you have a smooth application process. That’s it for the application process!
Accept your offer
The next step will be to accept your offer. If you applied via direct entry at SAE Apply Now you will receive a Letter of Offer from our National Admissions team to your email address.
Eligible applicants who applied via the tertiary admissions centres VTAC, QTAC or UAC may receive an offer in their offer rounds.
To accept your offer, you are required to provide SAE with the following documents:
- Student Enrolment Form
- A copy of your current Australian passport; OR Australian Citizenship/Birth Certificate PLUS photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or Keypass ID card)
- A copy of your Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (or highest educational qualification).
PLEASE NOTE: At any time, you should be willing and able to provide original documents or original certified copies of supporting documentation.
Once you have returned the above documents in full, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment via email. This means we are officially holding your place in the course of your choice at SAE.
New South Wales applicants (Sydney or Byron Bay campus)
Apply for the February, May or September intakes through UAC OR direct to SAE.
UAC Schools Recommendation Scheme
SAE participates in the UAC Schools Recommendation Scheme. This scheme enables schools to recommend current Year 12 students for an early offer at SAE based on their academic merit and achievement if they apply through UAC. Applications are processed centrally by UAC, with entry interviews conducted by SAE during the months of August through to November the year prior to enrolment. Queensland applicants (Brisbane campus)
Apply for the February, May or September intakes through QTAC OR direct to SAE.
Victorian applicants (Melbourne campus)
Apply for the February, May or September intakes directly to SAE UNLESS you are currently completing Year 12, or have left school and do NOT have a Certificate IV qualification or above, in which case you need to apply via VTAC.
Western Australian and South Australian applicants (Perth and Adelaide campuses)
Apply for the February, May or September intakes direct to SAE.
