Bio
SAE Alumnus, Kevin Garcia Fernandez, has been travelling the world with Aussie rock band Wolfmother after completing his bachelor of Audio at Byron Bay.
What inspired you to enter into the career you’re in?
I was inspired by a love of recording sounds and a will to make better sounding records than anyone else out there. My focus is to make music more ‘real’.
What are your fondest memories of your time at SAE?
My fondest memories are the times in studio experimenting, and the first week barbecue, ha ha.
Are you able to shed some light on how studying at SAE lead you to where you are now?
SAE gave me a good technical background to start working in the industry. I met people who helped me start my career and open up job opportunities.
What advice would you give to students aspiring to become successful in their field?
Give it your all, be passionate, be professional and be the coolest person to work with. Attitude is key in this industry. Technical knowledge can always be learnt.
