Overview

Commander Sam is an award-winning film created by SAE students from SAE Melbourne.

The story is about Sam and Neil, who are astronauts, and their world is surrounded by space-inspired creations. Sam spends her night in a spaceship forged from her father’s work van who works night construction, but after a dangerously close encounter, their relationship is challenged.

Singer Nate Nixon awakens 33 years later in the year 2020. With a second chance to make up for past failings, Nate sets out on a new musical adventure.

The Popcorn Stand is the group project created for Animation Studio 2.

Students in their third trimester of study get to work collaboratively to bring an animation to life. The unit of study focuses on the creative, technical, and project management aspects required to create a completed animation production.

The film portrays the story of a 25-year-old Pakistani girl stuck in an abusive marriage who has to fight her family and religious leaders in the area for her rights. It’s a war against culture, traditions and an entire community that her family is surrounded by.
