I am always curious about the way visual representations influence and are influenced by the world we live in. Teaching graphic design and media studies at SAE allows me to constantly expand and satisfy my curiosity in collaboration with students.

Dr. Louise Moana Kolff is a lecturer for design at SAE Byron Bay.

Originally from Denmark, Louise studied graphic design in London and Amsterdam, subsequently working in Amsterdam as a graphic designer for a number of years. She did her PhD research in Sydney at UNSW, focusing on the notion of taboo in graphic design, specifically in relation to Australian HIV/AIDS campaigns. She has since continued writing about and researching the topic of controversial visual representations and is currently working on a book about taboo and graphic design.

Louise Moana Kolff has completed the following qualifications:
Foundation course in art and design Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, London
BA in Graphic Design Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam.
