On July 22, 2016, Secret Sounds delivers one of Australia’s premier festival experiences, Splendour in the Grass, at North Byron Parklands. Over three massive days, international and Australian musicians, performers and technicians come together for one brilliant creative showcase.

Our friends at Splendour in the Grass and SAE Institute are offering two students, one film and one audio, from any campus in Australia, the opportunity to represent SAE at this years festival. All you have to do is share a picture, video or sound bite that shows you learning or living your passion for Film, Audio or Live Sound and you could win flights and accommodation to Byron Bay.

How to Enter

1. Like SAE Institute Australia Facebook or Instagram page.
2. Upload a picture, video or sound bite (YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud etc) of you learning or living your passion for Film, Audio or Live Sound. (max. 2 min)
3. Share the entry to your Facebook or Instagram page with the hashtag #SAESplendour

Competition closes July 6, 2016.  THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

Winners will be notified by email/phone and must be available from July 21-25 2016 inclusive.

Work placements are awarded in line with the following terms and conditions. Winners agree to the following and these are the things you need to know:

1. The recipient is the sole holder of the work placement in a specified program;
2. Recipients must be current students, enrolled in a Film or Audio course at SAE Institute Australia;
3. The Work placement is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for monetary value;
4. Student must undertake work placement duties, alongside a team of other interns. This involves attendance and participation in the Splendour in the Grass event from Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24, 2016 (inclusive). Recipients of the work placement prize can expect to work a minimum of 12 hours, each day of the festival. Prize will include flights, accommodation and transfers to and from the Byron Bay SAE Campus;
5. Recipients agree to be profiled, share pictures, original entry and feedback for marketing, promotional and educational purposes. This may include, but is not limited to providing photos, video, profile and social networking information for the SAE website, SAE social channels, newsletters, advertising and other marketing collateral;
6. Recipients enrolled in Trimester 3 and above, may apply the work placement as credit to their respective program.
7. A shortlist of entries will be selected. In addition to the entry on social media, the entrants academic achievement will be considered in consultation with an Academic advisor before an entrant may be considered for shortlist. This academic achievement criteria may include, but is not limited to, course attendance, quality of coursework, grades, participation and general aptitude for work placement responsibilities and team work.
