Calling all game designers, producers and enthusiasts. Do you want your game played at the largest consumer gaming conference in Australia? We thought so!

SAE Creative Media Institute is offering all of its Bachelor of Games students the opportunity to have the game they create as part of their degree exhibited at the PAX AU conference. Here your work could be played by 1000’s of attendees and industry professionals.

PAX AU takes over the Melbourne exhibition centre in October 2020. A festival celebrating games culture; PAX connects the world’s leading game publishers with their most avid fans, in a truly inclusive industry event.

The Australian iteration of PAX combines the exciting program from the wildly successful North American conferences with local content. International guests, speakers, musicians and developers will join local game industry representatives to showcase games and community events in Australia.

SAE games student Matty Davis was lucky enough to attend PAX 2019 and says the event is a great way to connect with other game consumers and industry professionals.

“PAX really fosters an exciting environment in which to engage and network with the professional gaming community. Through these interactions, you can stay up to date with industry trends and keep your finger on the pulse”

Matty says the cultural impact of PAX to the Australian games sector is invaluable because everyone, from professionals to consumers, is there to celebrate the success of the industry.

“A successful game, whether it is from a small indie studio or one of the big producers, is a win for everyone.”

“To be an SAE student at PAX means you get visibility and recognition in an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Creating connections and fostering collaborations will provide you with diverse opportunities and a real leg-up in the industry.”

Students enrolling into an SAE Bachelor of Games Development course at any Australian campus for Trimester One in 2020, will have the opportunity to submit the game they create as part of their course to be considered for exhibition at SAE's PAX booth in 2021!
