3D artist with a background in video games and training simulations with a passion for real-time art production. Constantly looking for new ways to produce art and help inspire a new generation of talented artists.
THE FUN STUFF
Why do you love working at SAE?
SAE gives me the chance to share my passion with a new generation and to help give them the skills they need to follow their own paths. As a bonus I get to work alongside a wide range of insanely talented creatives in the teaching faculty who drive me to be a better artist and creative.
What is the best fun fact about yourself?
For me, cooking and making 3D are enjoyable in similar ways in that I am creating something (more or less) out of nothing. Now I’ll be really excited when we can digitally create food and then 3D print it!
How do you like to spend your time outside of SAE?
To help inspire my practice I try to keep up with playing key video game releases. Do not underestimate down time as it can be just as useful as burning the candle at both ends in terms of helping productivity and for fostering inspiration!
What is your life motto?
Talent is a lie. Successful creatives are only successful because they invested time to their craft.
What is your dream holiday destination?
Easter Island. The history of the island is mysterious and incredibly prescient for how we are currently treating our planet and the potential consequences if we continue unabated….also those big stone heads are AMAZING!
Are you working on any exciting projects at the moment?
I started a indie game project, Final Beginning, during my Masters course. It's something I’ve been jumping back to since completing the Post Grad course to hone my design and scripting skills.
In addition, currently I’m also working on what’s known as a “likeness sculpt” of Benedict Cumberbatch as a way to refine my character art production skills.
Both of these projects are Works In Progress, but when I get the chance to get back onto them I learn new things each time!
