Student Film makes Shortlist for Nashville Film Fest

9 Apr 2015

A quirky, short film created through a collaboration of SAE Perth Students and teaching staff has been shortlisted for the Nashville Film Festival.

“Fixed” is one of 188 finalists chosen from nearly 1,800 short film entries submitted from countries around the world.

The idea for the project began in film class and was co-directed by student at the time Cody Wilson and Film Lecturer, Burleigh Smith.

The film follows 5-year-old Jemimah’s comical adventures as she desperately attempts to get her dog Tilly pregnant.

SAE Students worked on the filming, production, screenplay and editing process over the three month production schedule, with just six days of shooting.

Fixed has screened in over 23 festivals across the world and was a finalist at the world’s largest short film festival, Tropfest in 2014.

The Nashville Film Festival is an Academy accredited and BAFTA approved festival, running 16-25 April.
