SAE at Brisbane Careers and Employment Expo

28 May 2014

Staff from the Brisbane campus recently attended the Brisbane Careers and Employment Expo, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, where over 20,000 school leavers and parents browsed the array of career options.

With Audio Lecturers Peter Trimbacher and Ash Hanson performing live electronic music sets in Ableton and Logic, the booth was full of people over the entire two days.

A Wacom graphics tablet and pen was also popular amongst school students, with many showing their artistic prowess while their classmates watched. It is always impressive to discover the amount of creative talent amongst the crowd, and to learn about Queensland schools who continue to offer innovative creative programs to their high school students, helping them prepare for tertiary studies in creative media.

Visitors also enjoyed the interactive student games, with some very competitive teams picking up the tricks and cheats very quickly!

Some photos of the event have been posted on our Facebook page.

Miss out on the expo? Come along to one of our Study For A Day workshops, or visit us on Open Day! Also look out for us at the Tertiary Studies Expo in July!
