And the winner is…….

Nada Katana and his track Ghost Town have been announced as the winner of the EGM Records competition in partnership with Energy Groove Radio and SAE Creative Media Institute.

Nada Katana (whose real name is Dali Srhoj) has won the opportunity to have his track professionally recorded, remastered and produced for global distribution via EGM's media channels, including guaranteed airplay on the Energy Groove Radio network, broadcasted digitally around the world, and added to the music rotation on Emirates Airlines’ inflight entertainment.

With over 100 entrants, consisting of SAE students and alumni, the competition was fierce. The panel of six judges from SAE Institute and EGM Records had their work cut out for them and SAE Byron Bay alumni Dali Srhoj, blew them away with Ghost town, a haunting track Dali wrote, produced and recorded.

On his time at SAE Byron Bay, Dali reflects; “I was really lucky to have good teachers, their passion made studying a great experience.”

“I’m looking forward to what's to come, the exciting part is ahead” says Dali. And there is no rest for the wicked, while his existing tracks are ready for release, Dali is also working on new material.

Since winning the competition Nada Katana has recorded Ghost Town at the SAE studios in Sydney with SAE audio graduates and the track has been sent to Stuart Hawkes in the UK to be mixed and mastered. Stuart has mastered for the likes of Amy Winehouse, Rudimental, Example, Disclosure, Jessie Ware, and Katy B. Once complete, Ghost town will be distributed globally by Kobalt music.

Congratulations Nada Katana, we cannot wait to hear the finished Ghost Town!

Special mention is also given to the following artists from SAE Australia who will have their tracks added to the play rotation on the Energy Groove Radio Network:

  • Boy In Nature & S.A.S
  • Shay Moshe
  • Video Avenue
  • Ray Ray Flay
