Bronwyn will share her expertise and some of her favourite classic Flickerfest shorts with aspiring and established filmmakers alike.
Bronwyn will cover a range of topics including:
- What makes a short film irresistible to Oscar-qualifying film festivals?
- Should you target the Australian or International film circuit?
- What are big Australian festivals looking for?
- Targeting the smaller festivals – why would you do it?
- How to get your film out beyond festivals and make money through distribution of your short
- What you need to know to make your film market-ready
Speaker 2: Antony Webb, Award-winning writer, producer, director, cinematographer and editor
Antony Webb is a Western Australian writer-director with an extensive background in cinematography, editing and producing. Antony has acted as the writer, producer, director, cinematographer and/or editor on hundreds of projects including short films, feature films, documentaries, web series, and commercials, and has won nine WA screen awards including the prestigious Young Filmmaker of the Year award in 2009.
Antony recently edited twelve episodes of the ABC series 100% Wolf: Legend of the Moonstone and his short films 'Tingelwood', 'The Fan' and 'Carmentis' have all screened at Flickerfest and at many prestigious film festivals across the world.
Antony will cover:
- The creative process of making his short films
- How the success of his short films has developed his filmmaking career
- What he learnt from screening at film festivals
- The most important things that he has learnt in making short films and sharing them with the world.

Street parking may be available at night; be aware of clearway regulations.
