This course covers the essentials of audio engineering and electronic music production (EMP). Develop the skills and creative principles needed to write/produce your own professional-quality compositions.

The Certificate III in Music Industry (Electronic Music Production) is ideal if you:

  • Make music
  • Experiment with electronic sound synthesis
  • Would like to work more efficiently with your equipment
  • Would like to remix music more effectively

ADELAIDE APPLICANTS:  Certificate III in Music Industry is offered at Adelaide Campus over a 6 month part-time duration. 

BYRON BAY APPLICANTS: In 2016, SAE Byron Bay will offer the Certificate III in Music Industry  with subsidies available from the NSW Government (Smart and Skilled). Prospective students are encouraged to visit the smart and skilled website for further criteria on eligibility and the subsidies available. Course

Certificate III Music Industry (Electronic Music Production)

Music Production
Music production is the main focus of this course and you will be producing a minimum of 3 tracks during the course. All different genres and production techniques will be covered to ensure you can make the sound you have always wanted to achieve. 

Performance
Music performance is a integral part of the modern producers creative cycle, and we will show you how to get your tracks performance ready as well as how to incorporate hardware and controllers to help you put your personal touch on your performance. 

Mixing
We will show you industry relevant tools and plug ins to help create the polished songs you hear from your idols.

Remixing
Another staple of electronic music production, allowing you to put your personal spin on someone else's track! A great way to collaborate and spread your name in the Industry.

Sound Design
Exploring the different types of synthesis including, subtractive, FM and sampling techniques.
