Scholarships at SAE

Part of being a global leader in Creative Media education is about having a responsibility to support the next generation of creative professionals. SAE's Scholarship program is passionate about discovering and investing in individuals who will make a positive impact in the future of the creative industries. Applicants are considered on their creative skill, academic excellence and leadership. SAE Australia offers a range of domestic scholarships to assist students during their studies including full-tuition scholarships, grants and bursaries. 

Our annual Scholarship Program commences July 1st and closes October 30.

Excellence in Creative Media Scholarship


A full-tuition Scholarship for domestic students applying for a Bachelor degree commencing in February 2021.

Campus Available: Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Perth

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet SAE’s published entry requirements
Applicants must be commencing students who have not previously studied with SAE
Applicants must be 17 years of age  turning 18 the first year of study or older
Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Kickstarter Grants


$15,000 Tuition Scholarships for high achieving Year 12 domestic students applying for a Bachelor degree, commencing in February 2021 (Diploma available in Adelaide only).

Campus Available: Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide
Grants Available: 1 per campus location.

Applicants must meet SAE’s published entry requirements
Applicants must be commencing students who have not previously studied with SAE
Applicants must be 17 years of age  turning 18 the first year of study or older
Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Applicant must have completed year 12 in 2020

Creative Indigenous Scholarship


A full-tuition scholarship for a domestic indigenous student applying for Bachelor degree commencing in February 2021.

Applicants must be commencing students who have not previously studied with SAE
Applicants must be 17 years of age  turning 18 the first year of study or older

Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent

Master of Creative Industries Grant


A $15,000 tuition grant awarded to postgraduate applicants who demonstrate high achievement and creative skill, applying to study a Master of Creative Industry in February 2021.

Scholarship Application Process

Applying is simple. Complete the application form which includes a 500-word statement and a link to your online work portfolio.
Successful applicants will be required to provide supporting material for their application including; references, identification and school results as required.

Top 3 Application Tips

  1. Review your use of professional language: Apply for a scholarship as if you’re applying for a job, avoiding the use of abbreviations and slang, ensuring your application is concise.
  2. Review SAE: Prepare your statements understanding the background of SAE and what SAE can provide you with for your studies. Outline our ambitions and what you are interested in so we know you are a perfect fit for an SAE scholarship.
  3. Review grammar and spelling: Ensure you have checked your application for spelling and grammar and that all your supporting documentation is attached.
